We discussed the question of payment for the hire of a car for Mr Patten for him to attend briefing prior to going to Hong Kong.

As I explained the AUSPB is not the most suitable subhead for this kind of payment. I have spoken to various colleagues and have managed to find a 'home' for the charges. In Mr Morris' minute of 5 may to both yourself and Mr Ricketts, Mr Morris estimated the cost to be approximately £5,225, please try to keep the costs as close to this estimate as possible.

When the invoices are issued from Galaxy cars I should be grateful if you would arrange for the invoices to be sent to me and I will arrange for the necessary payments to be made.
