FORTY-SECOND MEETING OF THE KWAI TSING DISTRICT BOARD
Thank you for your letter of 28 February 1992 to the Foreign and Commonwealth Secretary: I have been asked to reply. I am sorry not to have done so earlier, but your letter was delayed in the post and arrived only recently.
We are grateful for the views and comments expressed by yourself in the District Board Paper and by District Board members at the meeting on 28 January. As you will have seen from announcements today, Mr Patten will be the next Governor of Hong Kong. He has made it clear that he comes to the job with a determination first and foremost to uphold the interests of all the people of Hong Kong. I am sure that he will pay close attention to issues of the kind raised by members of the Kwai Tsing District Board.
Your sincerely,
мля
