REPRESENTATION AND COSTS

The requested Party shall, if asked by the

requesting Party, make the necessary

arrangements for that Party's legal

representation and assistance in any

proceedings arising out of a request for the

surrender of a fugitive offender.

In the event that the requesting Party

arranges its own legal representation and

assistance, it shall bear any costs incurred.

Where expenses are of a substantial or

extraordinary nature, the Parties shall

consult to determine the manner in which the

costs shall be borne.

(2)

Subject to the provisions of paragraphs (1) (b) and

(1) (c), of this Article, expenses incurred in the

jurisdiction of the requested Party by reason of

surrender shall be borne by that Party.

(3)

The cost of sending a fugitive offender to the

jurisdiction of the requesting Party shall be borne by

that Party.
