ALLOCATION OF CALL SIGNS TO HONG KONG

I enclose copies of two telegrams recently sent from Hong Kong, proposing the next steps forward on this question now that the Chinese have agreed our proposal that Hong Kong should use the VR series extensively. You will see that the first telegram asks for a draft letter that could be sent to the ITU. I should be grateful for your comments on the / enclosed draft letter and those of copy addressees.

I should be grateful if in checking the draft notes your Legal Advisers made sure that the wording on confirmation by a following radio conference reflects exactly the wording of Regulation 2086, and that the references in the notes to the Radio Regulations are expanded to give their full title, ie of the Nairobi Convention etc.
