Thank you for your letter of 2 April. Having looked through the ASA texts, I believe that we have no need to provide the Chinese with a list of differences from other ASAS. In addition to the three points identified in paragraph 2 of your letter as having occurred in previous Hong Kong ASAS, the differences mentioned in the list enclosed with your letter either are insufficiently substantial to require inclusion or have previous appearances on record. Taking them seriatim, I have the following comments:
(a) Article 3: Grant of Rights
This is similar to Article 3 of the Hong Kong/India ASA.
(b) Article 7: Approval of Schedules
This is identical to Article 13 of the Hong Kong/France ASA.
