Ship stopped to take on essential stores, with anti-piracy precautions in effect. Pirates boarded unseen and broke into the masters room. Small items of ships equipment and crew personal possessions were stolen. On discovery the pirates jumped over- board and were picked up by a small boat. Vessel was setting towards a shoal and the attention of the bridge team was fully taken up with navigation duties.
Door of masters room badly
damaged, ships radio and personal effects stolen. Attention of bridge team distracted when navigating in dangerous waters.
Alarm raised on discovery of pirates.
Attempt to report to Marine
Police by radio was unsuccessful,
