Attacked in Indonesian waters on 21 June 1991. No report to IMO or Marine Department.
In view of the rising concern of the shipping industry (see SCMP cutting at Annex C), and the prevalence of these attacks in the Indonesian waters, the Economic Services Branch (policy branch for the Marine Department) has requested us to draw to your attention this problem and seek your advice on the appropriate course of action. Grateful to know whether you will be able to assist in any way and your comments, in particular concerning the request for you to take the matter up through diplomatic channels with the Indonesian Government.
