This is not - not to mention a couple of Liberian flagged vessels. reassuring and I hope that by laying out our understanding of our commitment in our reply we can avoid further confusion in the future.

One point I have not covered in our reply to the US note is the possibility that we will ask the Dependent Territories whose assessments we now meet to make a contribution to the overall UK assessment. To meet this possibility it would be helpful if you would ask for our future assessments to be broken down to show ships' names and ports of registry. This will also enable us to see
that charges are being correctly apportioned.
