Sino-British Joint Liaison Group that Hong Kong will continue to participate in the activities of the IAEA and it would therefore be entirely appropriate for this Treaty, which contains important provisions on the application of safeguards on peaceful nuclear activities, to continue to apply to the HKSAR after 30 June 1997.
