The UK ratified the Convention on 7
October 1977, and Hong Kong was included in
the UK'S ratification. The PRC ratified the
Convention on 7 January 1988. As regards the
1978 Protocol to the Convention, the UK
ratified it on 5 November 1979 and Hong Kong
was included in
the UK's ratification. The
PRC is also a party to the Protocol.
The
1981,
1983 and 1988 Amendments are applicable
to all parties to the Convention.
