The

Social

United Kingdom Government has yet to

submit the reports to the Committee on

Economic,

and Cultural Rights

together with the UK metropolitan reports and those of other dependent territories. This is expected to take place in the near

future.

the report will be made available the public shortly after the United

Kingdom has submitted the reports.

(I assume that your question 3 (c) should be

placed under this paragraph).

While

non-governmental organizations (NGOs) are not directly involved in the preparation of

reports, the Government has consulted interested NGOS in the formulation of its

policies through a network of advisory

boards and committees and other channels.

The dissemination of the reports will also

enable comments to be made by NGOs and the

public at large.

International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of

Racial Discrimination

United

Kingdom Government

has

recently

submitted its twelfth periodic report under the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination to

the United Nations. The report in respect of Hong Kong was drafted by

the Hong Kong Government in accordance with the guidelines suggested by the Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination, in consultation with the United

merit in giving the current

Kingdom Government.
