May I first thank you for organizing such a useful visit for Johr Tsang in October. We are most grateful to you and all those involved.
As I have indicated to you in my letter of 4 August 1992, I would be happy to accept your kind invitation of 1 July 1992 to visit Taipei. It would be an excellent opportunity for us to exchange views within the framework of the Asia- Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC). In this connection, I am pleased to inform you that I intend to take up your kind offer, and lead a delegation of Hong Kong Government officials to visit Taipei and Kao-hsiung from Thursday, 10 December 1992 to Wednesday, 16 December 1992.
I have attached for your information at Appendix 1 a tentative list of delegates, at Appendix 2 their respective curriculum vita and at Appendix 3 a compendium of subjects which we would like to cover during our visit.
I shall leave it up to you to arrange the exact itinerary for our visit. the group on arrival
