(a) Objectives

To consolidate co-operation in the fields of energy planning, energy saving and the efficient use of energy, whilst also taking account of
environmental aspects.
(b) Forms
The promotion of measures focusing on:
joint studies and research;
ongoing consultations involving the heads of the Brazilian and Community energy planning sectors (stock-taking, forward studies,
etc.);
implementation of programmes and projects in the field of energy.
9. CO-OPERATION ON TRANSPORT
(a) Objectives
(1)
Setting up co-operation in various transport systems (air, road, rail) and in maritime transport, following changes in Brazilian regulations.
(1) The customary exchange of letters on maritime transport, as set out in the
Annex to Annex 1, will be annexed to the Agreement.
