THE CONCLUSION OF A FRAMEWORK COOPERATION AGREEMENT BETWEEN
THE EUROPEAN COMMUNITY AND THE REPUBLIC OF BRAZIL

Subject Matter
1. The proposed Decision concerns a framework trade and
economic cooperation agreement between the Community and the Republic of Brazil. The proposed agreement provides for
cooperation in the following areas.
(i)
trade and industry
(ix)
standards;
(ii)
investment;
(x)
fisheries;
(iii)
technology;
(xi)
(iv)
agriculture
(xii)
information technology;
transport;
(v)
mining;
(xiii) energy;
(vi)
health;
(vii)
tourism;
(xv)
environment;
(viii) public administration

(xiv) drug abuse;
(xvi) culture
Both parties undertake to grant eadch other most favoured nation status, in accordance with the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade, and to trade in accordance with the GATT.
