A common view was reached regarding procedures for separating Hong Kong's interests from United Kingdom Air Service Agreements.
These interests will be enshrined in new Air Service Agreements to be concluded between Hong Kong and the countries concerned. These agreements will be capable of remaining in force beyond 1997 in accordance with the provisions of the Joint Declaration.
Hong Kong Shipping Register
involved
in
Agreement on the principles establishing a Hong Kong Shipping Register was reached at the fourth meeting of the JLG. The new register, separated from the British Register, was established on 3 December 1990.
(6) International Rights and Obligations
A Standing Sub-group under the JLG, namely the Sub-group
on International Rights and Obligations, was established to examine and discuss matters relevant to the continued application of international rights and obligations affecting Hong Kong and to report its conclusions to the JLG.
