SCHOLARSHIPS: FCO CONTRIBUTION
I wrote to you on the 2 December about an article in ECS Marketing News which suggested that Hong Kong are considering withdrawing their share of the Joint UK/HK Scholarship Scheme (which offsets the difference between home fees and overseas fees). James Smith-Laittan, BTC, had informed us that the matter was under consideration in Hong Kong but that no decision had yet been reached.
It would be useful to have your views as we may well find ourselves under pressure in the discussions underway here on dividing up our scholarship funding.
