REPORT ON THE CBI OVERSEAS SCHOLARSHIPS BOARD MEETING HELD ON WEDNESDAY 22 JULY 1992
I represented the FCO at the recent board meeting. The main purpose of this meeting was to agree the annual accounts and annual report for the year ended 1992, and to consider the proposals for scholarship offers from the DTI, CBI and FCO.
I attach at annex "A" a draft copy of the annual accounts and at annex "B" the draft annual report.
The allocation of offers perhaps did not favour some countries but I tried my best to achieve the best possible allocations based on recommendations given by our geographical
departments.
All in all I think that we have achieved quite a good deal in accomplishing our recommendations.
