12. Where training involves travel within the company organisation it is presumed that CBI scholars will receive normal travelling expenses from the firm. It would also be appreciated if firms would allow scholars the same holidays with pay as given to their own employees, adjusted according to the duration of an attachment. If a firm wishes a scholar to receive a small extra allowance (eg for particularly useful work or to compensate for long hours of work) enquiries should be made of the Manager CBI Overseas Scholarships, as to how this can be arranged.
