STATUS OF HONG KONG
We spoke and my earlier minute refers.
I am sorry to trouble you further on this issue, but I am unable to obtain clarification at this end.
I appreciate and fully agree with the comments of your lawyers regarding our dealings with the correspondent. However, we are still left in the dark as to whether the bank is actually breaching the provisions of the Act, and for obvious reasons we need to find out.
As such, we need an opinion on whether Hong Kong is, in fact, one of Her Majesty's dominions. Our lawyers are not clear on this point and wondered if you or your legal advisers could give a judgement.
