We have received the attached Commission assessment of the important points for the Community for the Protocol of Reaccession. It is due to be discussed tomorrow at Article 113 Deputies. However because the document was circulated so late it seems unlikely that a full discussion can be held on this subject at this week's meeting.
However given the short time before the next meeting of the China Working Party in Geneva it would be helpful to have early comments. My initial reaction is that they cover those items which we see as essential. If you and copy addressees have anything to add please could I have it by 25 November.
