HONG KONG : REGULAR DIALOGUE WITH THE GOVERNOR
1.
I attach a note from Mr Hoare in Government House. This
shows that on his return from London, the Governor has taken
steps to ensure that we are kept fully abreast of his thinking
on key issues.

2. He has instituted a weekly telegram to reach us each Thursday rounding up thinking in HKG on issues of interest to
us, and looking forward to forthcoming developments.

telephone call to Mr Goodlad each Friday morning.

us as much as for Hong Kong. I propose that we should put up a short note for Mr Goodlad's Thursday night box covering Hong
