The three posts mentioned in my letter of 20 February were approved on 6 March. The vacancy situation is therefore that there are three now and one more in May 1992.
I have spotted an error in the vacancy form attached to my letter of 20 February. Item 5
should Duties of Office read:
PAR
(a) To hear and determine cases, civil and criminal
in the High Court; and
(b)
to sit as an additional judge of the Court of Appeal if so requested by the Chief Justice,
in which case he shall have all the jurisdiction, powers and privileges of a judge of the Court of Appeal.
I would be grateful if the form could be amended accordingly.
I shall be writing soon regarding further appointments. Would you continue to fax your replies to me direct?
