The Scheme will provide that the partners of the Hong Kong law firm member of an association, as well as the partners of the foreign law firm(s) comprised in the
association, will be those responsible to the Law Society for ensuring that the Scheme's requirements with respect to associations are observed by all member firms of the association. By this means, the Committee
believes that the local participants in any form of association will insist on ensuring a concomitant right
to control the practice of law by the member firms in
Hong Kong.
