submit the Judicial Officers (Security of Tenure) Bill to the Executive Council and the Legislative Council, I should be grateful for your agreement to amend or repeal LPS, CRS and DP (CR) Rs as explained in paragraphs 8 to 13 above, and your confirmation that you are content with the bill going forward. A LegCo "waiting-list" slot has been
for the Bill to be introduced into LegCo in the 1992 session which ends in July. This requires the Bill to be submitted to the Executive Council in early June 1992 at the latest.
In view of this tight time-table, I should be grateful for your reply by 15 May 1992. I should be grateful also if you would put in hand action to amend the LPs and CRs. Hong
Due to the need for commencement of the legislation in Kong and in the UK to sychronize, it is our intention that the Bill will not be brought into operation until the amendments to the LPs and CRs have been completed.
Yours sincerely,
