Provide procedures for discipline of judicial officers of certain
courts and tribunals.
Enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and
consent of the Legislative Council thereof.
1.
Short title and commencement
(1) This Ordinance may be cited as the Judicial Officers
(Security of Tenure) Ordinance.
(2) This Ordinance shall come into operation on a day to be
appointed by the Governor by notice in the Gazette.

Interpretation
In this Ordinance, unless the context otherwise requires
"officer" (
) means a judicial officer as defined in section 2
of the Judicial Service Commission Ordinance (Cap. 92) but does
not include a Justice of Appeal, a Judge of the High Court or a
District Judge.
3.
Non-application of termination provisions of agreements
(1)
Subject to subsection (2), a provision of the agreement of
an officer who is employed on agreement terms that provides for
termination of service without the officer's consent is void.
