HMOCS: POSTS IN OTHER DEPENDENT TERRITORIES
-54-
Mr Patten's letter to the PUS of 12 October refers; you ask for clarification on pensions.
1.
2. Any officer transferring from the HMOCS would indeed be expected to retire from that Service and start afresh on new pensionable terms. However, the position, particularly relating to eventual pension levels on retirement after such transfers can be complex and I have therefore given you the simple answer to a simple question. We can of course take up Mr Patten's offer of discussing this further with Michael Waters. Do you want PSD to do this discretely? Or would you prefer to take the lead as part of a wider transfer debate?
