Thank you for your minute of 5 November 1992 concerning HMOCS Police Officers in Hong Kong who apply for posts in other dependent territories.
I think the proposal by Hong Kong that they forward annual confidential reports relating to the candidate for the last 3 years, together with detailed assessment and recommendations, will be sufficient to allow a 'paper sifting' of candidates, and ensuring that applicants from the Royal Hong Kong Police are only required to visit the UK for a final selection board interview.
