Transfer to Permanent Establishment

I am pleased to inform you that there is no

objection to your transfer to the permanent establishment, subject to your passing a medical examination and to the approval of the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs. Before forwarding the case to the Secretary of State, you will need to -

(a)

arrange to be medically examined;

(b)

inform me of your choice on the

effective date of transfer. In this

connection, your transfer, if approved, should take effect from

(i) the date of your passing the medical examination referred to above;

a current or future date, provided it is not earlier than the date at (b)(i) or later than the date of expiry of your current agreement, subject to continued satisfactory

performance meanwhile and to you being found medically fit at the effective date of transfer;

inform me whether you are prepared to buy back any previous service in order to enhance the pensions benefits due to you upon your retirement; and
