Judicial officers : Enrolment in HMOCS
Note
with
During your visit we had a discussion Mr. Brian suttill, Deputy Registrar, Surpeme Court about the enrolment Of judicial officers, first appointed after 28 March 1985, in HMOCS.
You agreed to look into the position.
As can be seen from the attached memorandum, there is now some considerable concern about this issue. 'The Registrar has suggested raising this issue with the Minister of State during his forthcoming visit (copy attached). I am not altogether sure that this would be the right approach. However there is no doubt that an early
solution is required.
One possibility might be to give the Judiciary, which is separate from the rest of the Civil Service, until 31 December 1992 to apply for ppe terms and enrol in HMOCS. This would correspond with the extension of the New Pension Scheme option deadline.
Spoiler My Cox to explain that Suttill wants any Judicial officer appointed as of New (re after march 1985) to breve until 31/12/92 to
come PHP +HMors. Mr coa
agrees
