SALARY
Ou fiest appointment, half salary will be paid to the officer for the period of the direct unbroken air journey from the country of engagement. The period of any such journey shall be reckoned as commencing on the day of departure and ending
Full on the day prior to the date of assumpcion of duty. salary will be paid from the date of assumpcion of duty.
Ou re-engagement, full salary will be payable from the day on which the officer resumes duty under the subsequent agreement.
For officers appointed locally, full salary will be paid from the date of assumption of duty.
Salary is paid acochly in arrears in local currency, i.e. äcag Kong dollars.
(Note : The Government encourages its staff to accept payment of their salaries directly to their bank (current oc savings) accounts and the vast majority fiad this both convenient and safe. Arrangements will normally be made for the officer's salary to be paid in this manner.)
Emoluments are subject to local taxation.
