G7, age 45 with pensionable pay of #26,121 a year, 15 years pensionable service would have a preserved pension of:
1/80 X #26,121 X 15 = #4,898 a year
and a preserved lump sum of:
3 X #4,898 - #14,694
Apart from these preserved benefits, the Civil Servant would also receive an immediate lum-sum compensation payment.
