A PROCLAMATION

WHEREAS by section 24 of the Trinidad and Tobago (Constitution) (Amend- ment) Order in Council, 1959, it is provided that sections 14 and 19 of the said Order shall come into operation on such day after the date of the commencement of the said Order (being a day not earlier than the date upon which the regulations mentioned in subsection (1) of section 20 of the said Order shall have come into force) as the Governor, acting in his discretion, may by proclamation published in the Gazette appoint:

And whereas the date of the commencement of the said Order was the 20th day of June, 1959:

And whereas the Trinidad and Tobago (Constitution) (Retirement of Entitled Officers) Regulations, 1960, made under subsection (1) of section 20 of the said Order will come into force on the 25th day of November, 1960.

Now, therefore, I, SOLOMON HOCHOY, Governor as aforesaid, do hereby appoint the 1st day of December, 1960, as the day on which sections 14 and 19 of the said Order shall come into operation.
