9. Finally I take issue with your reference to a lack of
flexibility and positive thinking on the part of HKG.
The
Governor and his team face an immensely difficult task in the next five years. They have done, and are doing, remarkably well. They need and deserve our support. We
have immense interests in Hong Kong's continuing success:
cannot expect the defence of such national interests to be
cost-free.
