HONG KONG: HER MAJESTY'S OVERSEAS CIVIL SERVICE (HMOCS)
1. The Secretary of State has agreed that we should:
(a) take the Governor's advice on pressing for early agreement within Whitehall to compensation arrangements for HMOCS members; and
(b) propose adjustments to the Supplementary Pension for
Overseas Service (SPOS), which affects those who have
already retired.
2. I now submit a draft minute from the Secretary of State
to the Chief Secretary. This has been cleared with the ODA and their Finance Department, RMD and a departmental Legal Adviser.
