Brief Scope of Contract
Current Situation
1. Airport Site Preparation Contract
(Contract No. PAA 1/91)- excavation of approximately 90 million cu.m of Chek Lap Kok Island and formation of a site of 1250ha for the airport, including construction of seawall & drainage work.
1. Lantau Fixed Crossing - Kap Shui Mun
Bridge and Ma Wan Viaduct (Contract No. HY/91/19) - a bridge of 671 metres including side spans carrying road and rail traffic from Ma Wan to North Lantau. To be constructed on a design and build basis. The viaduct will link this bridge to the Tsing Ma bridge.
2. North Lantau Expressway, Yam O Section (Contract No. HY/91/08) - construction of about 3.3 km of a dual three-lane highway on north Lantau, including site formation for the twin-track airport railway and utility
reserve.

1. Western Harbour Crossing
designing, constructing and operation of a 2 km tunnel crossing of the Victoria Harbour between West Kowloon and Sai Ying Pun. The tunnel will accommodate a dual three-lane road. Also included is construction of a portion of Route 7 from Rumsey Street to Belcher Bay.
