Aviation fuel demand is estimated at 10 million litres per day in 1997 with about 154,100 aircraft movements.
This is expected to increase to approximately 14 million litres per day in 2010, with about 230.000 aircraft movements, and to approximately 25 million litres per day in 2040 with about 375,500 aircraft movements.
Interested parties should propose a method for fuel delivery and outline the facilities planned on and off the airport island.
The Authority's preferred method of fuel delivery is by a marine pipeline, although it is open to other proposals.
Once delivered to an airport fuel farm, fuel will be stored and pumped into an underground pipe network to in-pavement hydrants at aircraft parking positions.
All expressions of interest must be returned to the Authority by 2 November 1992.
The licence is expected to be awarded in mid 1993.
The Authority aims through the award of licences and concessions to optimise private sector participation in the airport project, maximising its operational efficiency and financial viability.
An independent statutory body funded by the Hong Kong Government, the Authority is responsible for the planning, design, construction and operation of Hong Kong's replacement airport.
