HONG KONG AIRPORT PROJECT: TSING MA BRIDGE CONTRACT

The Prime Minister and the President will wish to congratulate the three British principals in the Anglo Japanese Consortium's successful bid for the main bridge contract for Hong Kong Airport.
Recommendation
2 That the Private Secretary write to the Private Secretary at No 10 enclosing draft letters along the lines of the attached for the Prime Minister to send.
3 In addition, the President will wish to write to the three principals on the lines of the attached drafts.
Timing

Urgent. The Prime Minister will wish to write as soon as possible after the Hong Kong Government announce the award of the contract on 7 May.
