Foster Hong Kong Ltd, the architect, is a subsidiary of Sir Norman Foster and Partners and the group has experience ranging in scale from masterplans for regenerating and expanding cities to individual buildings and project design. It has carried out work around the world and has won over 50 awards and commendations from many international bodies. The group has been responsible for the innovative new terminal at Britain's Stansted Airport -- the most recent major terminal to open in Europe. This terminal, the most modern in a series of new terminals built at major UK airports, was constructed on time and within budget.
The BAA plc operates the world's busiest international airport, Heathrow, and other UK airports, including Stansted, and it has recently developed a substantial expansion programme. In addition it has worked on airport programmes around the world. It has experience of all aspects of airport planning, design and operation.
There are also sub-consultants involved with the group:
Ove Arup and Partners, structural and fire engineering consultants. O'Brien Kreitzberg and Associates Inc, airport project planners and bulldability consultants.
WT Partnership, quantity surveyors.

The consortium will also be drawing on local skills of Ho and Partners Ltd and Anthony Ng Architects Ltd. Both are leading local architects and will be involved in the future development of the project.
The award is the result of a comprehensive process which Involved exhaustive analysis and consideration of all aspects of the project. Over 30 consortia responded to an initial call for expressions of interest, eight were shortlisted and three were included for final consideration.
