1. Please refer to Mr Seear's minute of 7 May, and in particular to the list of countries at Annex "A" which MOD officials submitted for approval by the Chiefs of Staff.
2. You will be pleased to know that the Chiefs have agreed that the number of overseas students for 1993 should remain at 38 regardless of the number of directing staff. The contingency cuts outlined in Mr Seear's minute will not therefore come into play.
3.
I attach for information copies of letters of invitation now sent to posts in your area.
