EC/CANADA TROIKA MEETING, MANILA PMC 24-27 JULY : CALL FOR BRIEFS
Deadline Noon Wednesday 15 July
1. The Secretary of State will, under the terms of the EC/ Canada Declaration, have an EC Presidency meeting with his Canadian counterpart in the margins of the Manila PMC. Troika Foreign Ministers and the Commission Representative, Matutes, will be present.

I should be grateful for contributions to briefing, which should reach me by noon on Wednesday 15 July. These should be cleared with AUSS DUSS, ECD (E) and CSFP Unit as appropriate and should be in final form Points to Make on blue and background on white, plus 3 copies all on white. Would departments named below please consult other departments as necessary.

Departments should follow the guidance for Presidency briefing given in Mr Westcott's minute of 29 June to Assistants. In particular, briefs should reflect partners as well as our own views.
