On occasions when men are wearing full-size medals, etc,
ladies also should wear full-size Orders, Decorations and
Medals if possible, but if this is not practicable
miniatures may be worn.
Occasionally, "decorations" may be worn at official dinner
parties and similar functions. The Riband of his Order would be worn by a Knight Grand Cross, and Stars and Neck Badges would be worn by those entitled to wear them, in
addition to miniature decorations and medals on the left
lapel of the coat or mess jacket. (Full particulars regarding the wearing of insignia are given in "Dress and Insignia worn at Court".)
On similar occasions ladies would wear Orders, Decorations
and Medals in miniature.
31.7
It is usual to indicate by the word "Decorations" on the
invitation card to a dinner party that decorations are to be
worn.
