At the end of dinner (but not on informal occasions) the
Governor will propose The Queen's health. If a band is
available it will then play the first six bars of the
National Anthem after which the toast will be drunk.
If a reigning Sovereign or the President of a foreign republic is present, the Governor will propose his health,
and the Sovereign or President will then propose The Queen's
health. If the President of a republic within the
Commonwealth is present, the Governor should first propose
