Dear Mr Howell
I understand that the Foreign and Commonwealth Office has received a formal complaint about prima facie corruption in the prosecution of this case.
I understand further that the FCO has been informed that the special prosecutor in the case has been jailed for eight years for corruption, that much of the key evidence has been "lost" and that many other aspects of the affair are highly suspect.
I would be very grateful to know what steps have been taken to examine this complaint, since the prosecution has had the effect of keeping a legally innocent man in a British prison for five and a half years.
