I would be be very grateful if you would seek confirmation from the Home Office, the Foreign Office and most especially the Governor of Hong Kong, that this extraordinary and wholly corrupt persecution of Mr. Osman will cease forthwith, and that he will be released. I would also be grateful if you would insist that Sir David tell you the current status of the presecutor (jail). It seems to me that this is quite central
to the integrity or lack of it, in this scandalous case, one that one day will haunt our battered system, even more than the three unfortunate Irish cases does now.
