(3) the fixing of the West LB trial on 20th January 1992;
(4) the timetable of the Saniman extradition revealed in the
said letter from his French lawyers dated 16th July 1991 (see
paragraph 33 above).

Further, in the light of such recent events, the Hong Kong
government's continuing decision to conduct a joint trial of Tan,
Saniman and myself and its refusal to inform me of the charges it
intends to proceed upon have now become, in the course of time,
matters warranting serious complaint pursuant to the standard of
fairness now defined by the Bill.
57. Having regard to all the circumstances,
particularly those
would, by
set out hereinabove, I respectifully submit that it
reason of the passage of time, be unjust or oppressive to
me to Hong Kong.
