AUS TRAVEL BUDGETS

1991/92: MID-YEAR REVIEW

1.

As in previous years, we now need to review your present allocation in the light of your actual expenditure between April and September, and the expenditure you expect during the rest of the financial year. We should like to know whether you may be able to offer up any part of your allocation for redistribution, and if so, how much. Alternatively, do you think it possible that funds may become available in the next four months?

I attach a suggested pro-forma. I also attach a printout of current rates of subsistence.

1992/93: ESTIMATES

4. We shall shortly be preparing our 1992/93 estimates. It would be helpful to know how much you will need, bearing in mind that the FCO have already given the Treasury our PES bid. I should be grateful if you could return the estimate pro forma by 7 October. I recognise that this does not allow time for a detailed analysis of your travel programmes, but an estimate at this stage will be most helpful. The travel industry estimate that international
