RESTRICTED
PRIORITY
2. Could you let me know whether this would be possible for
you? As for the programme, I will put myself entirely in your
hands. Calls on all the usual MFA and State Council suspects
are no doubt indicated! I would also be happy to do one or two
more economic things such as call on Citic.
3. For Hong Kong: I would be very glad to use Friday 6
December, and any spare time in the interstices of the JLG
meeting, to continue my programme of calls in Hong Kong. I
would particularly like to have a further session with Mr Heap:
and see some of the policy secretaries I missed last time, particularly the Financial Secretary, K Y Yeung, Anson Chung CMAN
CHAN (whom I missed here) and John Ghung. As I mentioned on the
telephone, I would also like to draw Lord Caithness's party as accompanying official for his programme of calls in Hong Kong,
en 4 December.
