FAMILIARISATION VISIT TO HONG KONG BY MR BUNTEN
80
1. As you are aware, Mr Bunten will be succeeding me
Head of Future Section on 6 November. He will be stopping-off in Hong Kong on his return to the UK from Australia, and has suggested that he should undertake a
refamilarisation programme while there. He has asked
す whether he would be entitled to subsistence were he do so.
2. This would be an excellent opportunity for Mr Bunten to
reacquaint himself with Hong Kong affairs, and update
himself on developments since his departure from Hong Kong
12 months ago. The department will of course benefit from
being able to 'piggyback' on Mr Bunten's return trip, thus
saving a considerable sum of money. I should, therefore, be
grateful for confirmation that you are content for payment
of subsistence from your travel budget for the nights
30 October to 2 November. If you are content, I shall then
arrange payment by BTC Hong Kong.
