Majority of Democrats Elected in the 15 September 1991 Legco Direct Election and Confidence towards the Future of Hong Kong

In this survey, we asked a new question about the Legco direct election on the public's confidence. Almost half of the general public (47%) consider the majority of Democrats elected in the Legco direct election to have no effect on their confidence towards the future of Hong Kong.

Among the balance 53%, 43% think that the election results increase their confidence towards the future of Hong Kong and only 10% think that the outcome has reduced their confidence.

Overall, people in Hong Kong appear have a positive view towards the results of the Legco direct election.
