We are working hard to get the list up to Ministers as soon as possible but there are one or two matters still to be cleared up. One of these concerns companies on your List G.
Rather than add one further criteria to the list, though we would not rule it out, we are exploring whether any of the companies currently on List G could be added to any of the existing lists, and would be grateful for your urgent assistance.
It appears that Yorkshire and Humberside Development Association, Welsh Development International and Scottish Development Agency could be added to list A because they were established under Acts of Parliament.
The Birmingham and West Midlands Liaison Office in Hong Kong is, I understand, an overseas office of a department of Birmingham City Council. Could it be described as a "company or other body corporate incorporated in Hong Kong" so it could be included within criteria (b)?
The Northern Development Company is itself registered at Companies House.

It appears to us that the British Chamber of Commerce would qualify under criteria (d) (i) (ii) and (iii). Do you agree or have you any better suggestions?
The British Tourist Authority apparently qualifies under Article 16(2)(c) of the Act and does not therefore need to be included in the list of British undertakings.
